CompPair collaborates with TWIICE: healable composites used on exoskeleton

CompPair is pleased to announce a collaboration with our neighbouring startup, TWIICE.

TWIICE develops and builds customer-specific exoskeletons for walking assistance and rehabilitation of people with mobility issues.

TWIICE used CompPair’s healable composites to create an exoskeleton’s shoulder rest. The shoulder rest is a vital part of the exoskeleton’s design: this new addition allows people with mobility issues to bend over.

Recently, TWIICE won the title of World Champion of the Global Innovation Challenge in Japan. The award is given to organisations that have developed robots that support the autonomous walking of the physically challenged in various aspects of daily life. Six tasks had to be completed in order to achieve the title of world champion and TWIICE successfully accomplished them all!

We congratulate them for this spectacular performance and are thrilled that our composites were part of the winning exoskeleton!

Also featuring in the Top 100 Swiss Startups, we thoroughly enjoyed working with another innovative startup from the Lausanne ecosystem. The CompPair team looks forward to further opportunities with fellow startups.
